Household teams

Keep household money separate and include privately paid shared expenses.

Updated: 10/6/2026

Create and invite

A Family subscriber can create one household with up to five members including the owner. Invited people can use Free accounts. Extra seat purchases are not currently offered. Roles control what each member can change.

Choose the right ledger

Use the scope switcher to move between personal and household records. A household account represents shared money, such as household cash. It does not expose anyone’s private accounts.

If you pay a household expense from a personal account or card, record it once in personal scope and include it in the household. Do not add a second expense to move it between views.

Categories and shared subscriptions

Personal and household categories are independent. Copying categories creates separate rows, not ongoing inheritance.

Recurring services stay personally managed. Sharing one with a household gives visibility; posted charges can be included with a household expense category. An upcoming charge is not actual household spending.

Limits follow the person who creates transactions or uploads files. A Free member’s limit is 1,000 transactions per month, including team activity. A household becomes read-only if its owner loses the Family entitlement.
