Sign in and set your preferences

  1. Open Kakeibo and enter your email address. Use the one-time code sent to that address to sign in.
  2. You can explore first and return to Initial setup from Home or Settings (Profile on Mobile). Save your home currency before creating an account; each saved item is available across your devices. Name, time zone and language can be adjusted in your profile.
  3. Add an account such as cash, a bank account or a credit card. An account is where a transaction belongs.

Make your first record

Add an expense or income transaction and choose the account and category. Initial setup lets you add selected starter categories, or you can create your own. Tags are optional. Your dashboard will then show the recorded account balance and recent activity. You can adjust profile preferences later.

Kakeibo is a personal and household record, not a bank feed. It does not automatically import your bank statement or move money.

Understand your base currency

Open the dashboard

Choose currency before creating accounts

Language and timezone can be adjusted later, but your personal base currency is locked once you have an account or transaction. On Mobile, human verification may open a browser; enter your email and OTP in the app, not on a separate website login.
